It’s no secret, we love when our invitations inspire hostesses in their party planning! That’s why we were thrilled when the girls in Dallas came to us with the darling idea of using the invitation for Katy’s baby shower as inspiration for flower stakes to be used in the centerpieces at the event! What a cute idea! We tied in the oh boy! theme, the preppy plaid, the bright colors, and it all came full circle. It’s all in the details!

Over the years we’ve worked with some wonderful March brides. Happy anniversary to some of our favorite couples that were not only fun to work with, but left us with beautiful samples to remember the experience by!

Just a few quick pics to reminisce about our dear friends J. Brown and Allison’s New Orleans wedding last March. Not only did we have the pleasure of going to the big event, I was lucky enough to be involved in every aspect of the wedding paper—from save-the-dates to invitations to the engagement party we hosted for them Mardi Gras-style. Here are a couple of especially Mardi Gras-inspired invitations that still top my *favorites* list. I’m still disappointed that the good times were on such a roll at the engagement party that I forgot to snap some pics of the decor—think beads hanging from the chandelier and tall peacock feathers in bead-filled vases… Happy Mardi Gras!

There’s something to be said for the classic stripe pattern. Pinstripes, rep stripes, horizontals, seersucker—they stand the test of time and can be bold, subtle, classic, modern, fresh… The options are endless.

Here are a few instances where striking stripes make my heart skip a beat (or two):

monster mash, birthday bash

October is here and that means a whole month of pumpkins, cooler weather (hopefully) and spooky Halloween fever! Last year my nephew requested a spooky party to celebrate his late October birthday. We set the tone with the invitation, shown here.

There are lots of suggestions out there for Halloween food, but honestly, alot of them are pretty unappealing looking. Leave it to Disney to balance gruesome with clever just enough to keep it cute. Here are a few ideas for what to serve to your hungry little goblins:
